Have a rust worry!

The plastic piece that goes around the base of my antenna is broken off. I'm afraid some water has been getting in the hole. I ordered the part to fix it but should I worry about some water sitting some where that could begin rusting out the rear fender. Sorry since the rust problems I had with my old 528i I start getting nervous.

I'm pretty sure if you mess with it enough.. you can get to that area.. and make sure its drained... I think it already has a drain. I might be wrong.. but you should be able to get to it if you try hard enough... can you remove the entire assembly or not?

I've had that same problem. So far there is no evidence of any real bad water entry, I guess a little must get in...
