Ground Wire On Starter - BMW Forum

Can anyone tell me where the ground (black) wire goes on my starter? I have a 1986 325e . Thanks a bunch!!

ground is usually brown isn't it?

on little stuff it is usualy, but i think it might be black on the starter. and there should be a stud with a nut on it, unless it grounds to the block? not sure havn't had my starter, thats the one thing i havnt had to touch

I didnt pay much attention to what wire was what, i just numbered my wires when i changed my starter, so im not a lot of help. but i tell you what, it was not an easy thing to do (changing to starter) in your backyard. but i feel good knowing i did it myself. Chris---
