Got my first 3

Just wanted to say hi as the new guy. This is my 2nd bmw. I had a 80 bmw 528i..finnaly sold it because of rust. I missed my old bimmer and wanted a summer project so I picked up a 91 325 xi. It's a black 2 door 5 speed with 132 k on the odometer.and I gotta say I love it. If anyone has any info or links to info on the all wheel drive 3's I would appreciate it.

Nice job Trob !

I purchased an '88 325ix last summer (with ~190K !) and it's a blast. Finding a 5spd version of the car in the later years is also pretty tough so it sounds like you did well. You will want to check out the ix registry if you haven't already -

Thanks. I just washed and waxed and scrubed the interior. Car needed some serious Tlc! The worst part of the interior is unfortunatly the leather looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years!!

have you tired any of the leather restorers ? they can help return some moisture to the leather provided that they aren't completely worn out. My seats need to be totally re-done as the leather is all cracked. I got some quotes from some local upolstry specialists - not cheap

Unfortunatly the driver and passanger seats have tears in them. ghead I just got some seat pads with the lumbar support for them for now. The back seats are in good shape...just dried out.
