Although I'm turbocharging my motor, I'm going to post this for the new guys and the non-forced induction group. The 93-96 (other years fit, look for the yellow ones) ford mustang, crown vic and others that have the 4.6 & 5.0 motor are built with bosch 19 lb pr hr fuel injectors that drop in any M20 motor. These injectors have 4 pintles unlike the 1 pintle that the stock 14 lb pr hr injectors have. This gives you better fuel atomizaton and that means better idle, power, and fuel economy. And if that isn't enough good news, they sell for less than half the price of stock injectors new. If you have a salvage yard near by you can buy used ones for cheap (if your local yard guy isn't a rip off) I got a set of 8 off a core motor for $40.
Yea, I was installing a new radio. I like my stock one but the tape drive belt broke and I use the tape deck to run my mini-disk player, so I had no choice to upgrade. Plus it sounds better.
Yea, they will. They will fit and give you an improvement The m42 has 170 cc/min injectors that translates into about 16 lb/hr. (divide 170 cc/min by 10.5 = 16.190blahblahblah lb/hr)

Starmavin... any way that you can think of to switch out the injectors on an eta to the above mentioned 'stangjectors? I know the eta's use different impedence injectors than i's do... So if there isn't a direct swap, you may want to make a slight correction to your "any M20" statement. If on the other hand all I have to do is make some sort of resistor pack to change impedence, GAME ON!
Thanks!
Josh W.

The impedence, as you state, is only off by about 6 ohms and that is actualy easier on the DME than stock ones. Worn out stock injectors with over 200K can have impedence nearly 50% or more than stock. So no correction is need. And no worries. I have them in my 86 325es and have driven it to PA and back 3 times pluss 50 mile round trip every day to work for months enjoying 32+ mpg highway and 27+ city, I also put them in my little brothers 89 325i as well and countless others...
So, just checking with those who have done it... is there a noticable power difference??? or would i see the difference at the pump??? And is it worth it to do the swap if your injectors are ok?

If your engine is in good shape you'll feel a power increase, see a good bump up in MPG, and idle will be very smooth. This will not fix low compresson, or worn out engine parts that cause the main part of power loss.
