Hi,

I recently bought a '91 325i. The previous owner kept all receipts, and just put a bunch of money in the car. The only thing not perfect about the car was starting it cold. It always takes a little time for it to catch. When it does eventually start, there is always the flooded (gassy) smell. After going it runs great.

Yesterday driving home from work, it stalled at a stop light and the check engine light came on. It re-started right away, but the light stayed on and the idle speed jumped to 1500. I don't really have the time to figure out what is wrong, and would really appreciate some information on repair shops in the NW Denver area.

check your intake boot sounds like the same thing that happened to me.

Thanks! I am new to the BMW world. Could you tell me location and give a brief description of intake boot. I bought a repair manual (not Bentley), and it is not very helpful.
