As you can see by my posts... I am a complete noob when it comes to BMW's. VW's are another story. But I just saw the most recent Eurotuner, and there's an amazing 320i in there. The 320 was my very first car... and I was thinking that it would be fun for me to completely rebuild a 320 from the ground up... and make it the car that I should have kept at the age of 16.
Now I know that the 320's are like the black sheep of the Bimmers... not quite 2002's, not quite E30's... but with enough love and attention... I think I could make a pretty sick car.
Does anyone on here know what a good motor swap would be to get me some decent numbers (over 250whp)? I am obviously looking to do a turbo... but like I mentioned... I know just about dick when it comes to Bimmer motors.
Any help you could provide would be great. Thanks!
those kind of projections usually require a very high budget, not like the s50 swap in a e30 which is somewhat reasonable. also, imo, you'd be much happier and get much more praise and attention with a 2002. there is also a greater following for the 2002 which will make more information easily available.

A 2002 is definitely something to think about. I know that there is very little info on the 320's just from my recent attempts. I am also considering just breaking down and doing an E30 325. We'll see.
The question still stands though... does anyone know of what motors will fit in there?

Hey man that was my car in Eurotuner, come over to this forum and we will be glad to assist you. No offence to anyone here but knowledge on the E21 here is nonexsistant.

My savior! Was it really your car? Man, I have a few questions for you. That was MY first car when I was 16. I am hopping on the forums you suggested.
i've found a really hard time finding any support for my 1991 320i E36...the E36 wasn't in the states until 1992 so, it parts for it practically don't exsit.
the I-6 it has is pretty sweet though...imho.
you could probably throw some bolt-ons, a supercharger, and a chip and have around 250whp...
