Cool GLOVE COMPARTMENT wont open???

my ignition key opens trunk and both doors - but glove compartment wont work
any tips on getting it to open and still be usable.

also my radio antennae is broken off but the motor goes on and off when i mess with stereo.

any tips on where to get replacement appreciated

Does the glove compartment handle work? It may be broken off at the bottom, with the forward part hanging down - that happened to mine.

lock seems to work and handle moves. got email from seller saying that plastic casing gets stuck and i should try a bit harder to get it open . arizona heat something may have warped???
will try in morning

I got mine on ebay brand new for $30

there are two kinds, one with teeth on the cord that retracts the mast and one without teeth. I don't know which one you need....

not sure what i did but glove box fell open on its own while i was away from car and now works great.

and i want the antennae thet retracts into the body all the way.
part number would be great - may try rock auto also

I can't get the glove box open in my 87 325i. I can't remember which way the lock is supposed to be when it is open. (Vertical slot or horizontal slot for key) To know that would be a good starting point.
