hey....does anyone have any advice to what would be the best way to lower my 89 325i. im also looking into rims but i dont want to get the cheap shit but i dont want to break my bank. any advice?
Eibachs lol. They're decent in price and you don't want to low-ball on your car. Don't expect to not break the bank in doing mods on a bimmer. It costs for quality. You start taking shortcuts and your front wheel will end up in front of you at an intersection one day.
Ebay for the rims. Cheap and decent quality. Just stick to namebrand and you'll be fine.
thanks its i want to lower it but didnt know where to start and the rims im finding for the e3o are all 17 inch rims and im not sure if that would leave enough room if i did lower it.
my e30 is dropped on eibach prokits, not necesarrily the best springs, and i am rolling 17's. If you are just looking for style and cruising, 17's are ok, but if you intend to track the car or something of that nature, don't go any larger than 16. here is a couple pics of the drop on mine.

Two wheels or Four, I'm happy as long as the throttle is pinned.
Look around. I have H&R's on mine with Bilstein sport shocks on mine. +1 on the tire sizes that GSD recommended. At the end of the day, it's your choice, but think what it is that you really want and how you want your car to handle.

yeah i want the best for my ride its in my shop so i dont drive it to often anymore i just wish i had the cash to get it done. but ill look into the h&rs i have plenty of time to get what i need for it. i do want the best though so any sugestions just get at me.
I would recomend you keep your car to its original state and try to find the BBS Rims the car had from the e30 but do not lower the car to much because the Oil pan sits really low on BMW e30s
