gauges

sweet so i just bought a couple of gauges for my 86 325, i bought an air/fuel ratio gauge and an oil pressure gauge. can anyone tell me how to install them? because they have the most vague instructions..

Well, the air/fuel guage takes a feed off of the signal wire on the O2 sensor. If your car is an 86 with the orginal 15 pin data connector, just splice into terminal #5 this is the 02 feed.

As for the oil pressure guage, is it mechanical (comes with a plastic tube) or electric (has a plug in sensor)?

Hi jfertita,

The oil pressure gauge needs to take a signal from the motor and this is by either removing the Oil level sensor from the engine and mounting the Oil Pressure Sending Unit instead or either using an adaptor if you have a space in the engine bay to connect both.
