*gasp* Semi BMW Related!

I'm currently looking for a winter car to purchase, as I'm not conciously driving my E30 during the cold Canadian Winter months, nor during really shitty rainy days (I pamper my baby, I know.) Now I'm looking to get an Audi for the shit days, or PERHAPS, PERHAPS a *shudder* VW. Now I know what im gona go for in the *shudder* VW, but im not the most familiar with Audis. Now I'm not looking to spend alot of money on this car, but I am also looking for something somewhat decent and reliable, and prolly under 3 grand. Any decent Audi series with somewhat above average preformance (mostly handling as I'm a control freak)

Also, with the Audis are ALL audis 4 wheel drive? or just the newer Quattros?

VWs aren't that bad, my sister has a jetta and that thing handles great in the rain and snow, it is also very reliable, she hasn't had one problem with that thing since she got it. on the audi subject im pretty sure that only the ones that are quattro are all wheel drive, im not perfectly sure

ill ask a friend of mine who has owned a an a4 and a jetta what he has to say on which cars he thinks are better and post what he says

I like VWs and Audi's better then BMW's, as far as handling goes. You do realize Audi's and VW's are the same car right? If I were u I'd look for a 5000 CS with quattro. or maybe an audi 80 or 90 with quattro. 100's have some quattro models too, but I'v driven one and they seem sluggish to me.
