fuel line ?????

Hello,

I have a ? about those round things that look like small filters on the rubber gas lines. ? Do they get clogged? If so can they be cleaned. Or could I just eliminate them totally, and just run straight rubber line from point a to point b? I think those things are slowing up my flow. 84 318i. Thanks for listening and have a good evening.

i think you need to be a little more specific man. not really sure what "round things" you're talking about.

I found out that they are call gas line connectors. I have one after the fuel pump, another after the fuel filter, and another one after the fuel regulator n the return line. I guess they put those things on there to maybe change out sections of the line at a time. What does the fuel regulator do? On my 84 318i I would like to run just straight rubber line from fuel pump to fuel filter and from fuel filter to fuel rail and from fuel regulator back to return line. Thanks for responding.
