fucked up sunroof

i have an 82 320i with a crank sunroof, and to open it you have to crank it with one hand and pull it back with the other some times it takes two people. and to get to the gear box i have to drop the headliner so im hoping its not in there but it prolly is. help????

before you tear the car up.... why don't u spray teh sunroof slide n guide rails with WD-40 and re-try. maybe it isn't as "fucked" up as you say it is ;-)

good point, but its not like it stuck on the track its more like the teeth arent grabbing

...if teeth aren't grabbing; then you should be abe to slide the sunroof fwd and back without the crank ;-)
