i tooko my car to get smoggeed but then it doesnt pass i bought a new CAt and i put on my 320i's muffler and i know that doeesnt matter but umm you think the oxygen sensor needs to be replaced ?? how can i pass this damm test

Put some..oh for the love of Buddha..I can't remembe what it's called, but there's this foamed-up stuff that you can put in gas tanks to clean them out. You could spray a little of that into your muffler for the test, then air-compress it out later. If, that is, the mechanics don't root through the system.
But that's a really barbaric solution.
Try running premius gas or something.
We just started the tests...but no worries for me! In Pa. Any car older then 95 only gets a visual inspection and fuel cap check. Nothing hooked to the tail pipe!

Hmm Trob, I live in PA also and they had to replace the entire cat back system to get my car to pass inspection, they dealer did anyway, when I bought it .
You used the word dealer. That word is short for F#$$% you in the ass first chance they get. lol If they see anything on the visual inspection that is wrong or in bad shape But you can have a car that's smoking like a chimney and as long as everything looks good on inspection you won't have a problem.

haha u clearly mis understood me. I bought the car, and then took it to an inspection station where the dealer (since they guarenteed inspection) paid the bill for the car to pass inspection, which included the whole cat back exhaust system. So Trob, I wasn't fucked up the ass, you were just clearly misinformed.
