well here's my car, I bought it a month ago. The car has 205,000 miles on it and it runs great. I've never had a car with such a high mileage but I couldn't resist it. This car it's such a hard find here in Puerto Rico and the guy who had it, took really good care of it.

Here are a couple of pics. sorry for the low quality, I took them with my cell phone cam.

I had to replace the muffler and a friend of mine gave me this 3a Racing muffler custom fit to match the double piping. It's loud but it's just a temporary fix since I'm planning on getting a complete custom made single exhaust. BTW what exhaust size on a single setup it's the best??

Dang that is sweet looking.

Not sure about the exhaust.

Are you talking about going two pipes in, one pipe out of mufler?
Or are you going single from Cat back or from manifold(s)/headers(s)
I'm not sure what set up the 91 ix has.

Theres a good thread here about aftermarket muflers from Dynamax Flowmaster etc. they make just about any size you want.

if you go to single exhaust you will lose that nice BMW rhasp, it will sound more deep and bland..

well I was thinking on a sinlge exhaust from the manifold. But something I like about BMW's is the sound, so if it's going to change I'd rather replace the areas of the piping that are leaking and keep it stock. My concern is that it's leaking in the welds after the cat, so I'm not sure if a can keep the cat since I don't know how bad it is.
I'll check more into it.
