Our stupid highway, the Island Parkway, has so many cracks, dips, bumps, pots, etc that I didn't dare go faster for sake I'd hit a big one and take off my tire. The highways around here are not built for speed.

I did get grins from a fellow in a 733i, and incidentally, a lot of faces pressed to the window of a school bus full of teenagers going god-knows where. It was fun.

Perhaps I'll try it again when I get the belts replaced. I know she's got more in her.

fastest i ve gone was 110. whats the top speed in the e30 325(it has no "e" behind it.)? whats the diff between the ones with the "e" and the one with no "e" ?

well if that car was a 88 that would be a super eta(congrats if you have one) its got more hp then a e not as much as i. perfect for turbo charging thou cause of the high torque at a low rpm.

in the bmw bout 95 didn't wanna go faster cause tires are going bald didn't want to have another blowout that week.
and in my volvo 240 turbo it should 120 but the needle was bouncing off the little point thing and pressing against the thing like it was gonna break it that car still had awhile before it topped out too damn i love that turbo.

120 in my dads '84 745i turbo and had no clue till i looked down. I had plenty to go, but my exit came way sooner than expected.

hit 210 km/h in my 328 when the govenor stopped me. i think thats about 131 mph. had plenty of rpm's left and was still pulling strong. pretty soon i will be installing a eurosport cam kit, uuc underdrive pullies and a 3.23 lsd and will go for a max speed run once that is installed. i bet i could hit 150mph no problem.

a couple years ago before i had my own car in my dads ml430 i hit 220kmh. that was pretty scary.

143 mph in my babby and 150mph in my old chevelle, and 240 in my moms jetta and 155 km/h in a 95 suburban that only goes 140... i have a ticket to prove that on. and 175 in an f250 and to the governor on a 97 540i can't remember what they're governed at but they're fast as hell ate 5L stangs like nobodies buisness.

135mph In my '73 Chevy Nova, more to go but above 100 the car feels like it weighs 10 pounds, 132 in my '87 325i (god it took ages to get there), 130 In my brothers '89 Ford Thunderbird SC (easily the fastest of the three but not enough road at the time)
