F***ing Birds, Anyway

*whew* coming into town today, a pheasant flew up from the side of the road. Yep, smacked that bitch right in the kidney grille. Dead center, baby. BUT, all damage was done to bird by BMW, not vice versa. All it did to the car was pop the retainer clips off the top of the grille and push the grille in. Thank GOD. I got in to town, put the clips back on, and happily driving once again.

dude that sucks, but you made a new thread just to tell us you hit a bird? lol this should be in members lounge too, lol you shouldn't really post something like this too my friends mom had got a ticket cause she hit a bird and didn't stop after she hit it and cop pulled her over and gave her a ticket it was like for neglagance or something like that

Yes, I guess humans all suck.
I hit a bird on accident as well - it wasn't a pheasent; hell I think it was a crow. It was large and black and left a mark on my windshield. Luckily there were no cracks... on the car...

Crap, I floor it when birds sit in the road but they always get out of the way right when I think I've got them. Course I wouldn't be trying to run over sharp beaks and whatnot if I thought they weren't actually going to escape.

Thank goodness your car's ok, peasants are fairly plump, aren't they?

Not really big birds, about 10 lbs is the biggest i've seen. anyway, someone should move this to Member's lounge, i wasn't thinking clear when i posted. And i finally got the title paperwork to go through, too. fucking VT DMV anyway.
