3-Series (E21, E30)Chat relating to the BMW 3-Series from 1975-1983 and 1984-1991 line. Specific models: BMW 315, BMW 316, BMW 318, BMW 318i, BMW 320/4, BMW 320i, BMW 320/6, BMW 323i, BMW 320i. E30 Family models include: BMW 325e, BMW 325i, BMW 325is, BMW 325ix.
I'm about to buy an exhaust for my 325iS and i've got it narrowed down to two. Borla or Brullen. I like how both of them sound, but they sound different from eachother and I'm having trouble deciding which one to get. Any opinons?

I don't know, actually. Turner Motorsport has a Borla cat-back for $600, but it's for the M3 and I don't think it will fit a 325iS. I was just going to buy the muffler and then get custom pipes. Muffler alone is probably around $170 im guessing but price isn't that big of a factor for me. I just want something that sounds good, but not ricey and I have it down to those two brands.

I'm also plauged with the question of who to go with. My cars catback exhaust is actualy just shot. Like, rusted out and stuff. On the bright side, the rusted out note is pretty growly. Haha. But yeah, I'm looking for a performance exhaust kit. However I think I need to wait untill I get my engine replaced. Seing as how my engine is fucked. Maybe I'll see if one of the cars at the junkyard have an OK catback and just rip that shiz off. Doubtful. Oh well!
irelandengineering.com has a really good exhaust for E30's. Ima get it when I get the money after I do susp and rims/tires, its only 410$, and its cat back, and fully stainless steel.

i just bought a cheap megaflow for my moms E30 and WOW its great... the sound is pefect... it it not loud like ricers at all. At ideal u can't hear it and thats good. its had a nice deep sound to it and sound great. It is just a little loud at 1,000-1500 RMP but other than that its sweet. I'll take some pics if u like. its a double barrel 3' for both of them. did i mention it was only 130 bucks!!!
trust me u cant get that much performance out of a muffler why spend 600 bucks? at least try the cheaper way first.. i was considering stromung for 400 bucks at first but im really happy i got this muffler!

I have heard from many other owners that IrelandEngineering makes some of the best performance exhaust options available for the E30. They are a bit pricey though...
acutally, not that bad. they make headers for like 600 I believe, or 350 or something, and the exhaust I want from them is only 410,and its full catback, and stainless steal, real good deal, and no fabrication required.
