They're located in Arizona, so if you don't live there you could probably ship your car to them, or just get the parts from them. (they have wicked BMW connections from what I understand) and then have them ship it to you? I'm sure they'll be able to answer all of the questions for you though.
Again, you'd probably have to talk to them about how much it would cost and they'd ship straight to you.. The other thing is that they can get you upgrades on the engine that no one else can get because of the tie to germany so I'd check em out anyway; but in the spirit of saving money, wouldn't you have to pay an import tax on the engine to get it across the border to the US? (does looks like a nice engine, however there's only one way to find that out once you get it.. drive it! )

2 if you do you have the skills tools time and space
3 what do you wanna spend?
4 what are your goals for the car? are they reasonable for your budget?
5 why not go with a modified and/or boosted stock engine?
6 will it be smog/ inspection legal? does it matter if it is?

In ontario there is a smog law for cars, but its only on cars under twenty years of age. My car is a 1990 325is and my klm are 2900000,so assuming the engine will go anytime soon or modifying my engine might damage it due to its high milage. So I figure I have connections out in toronto I can get an e36 m3 motor tranny,ecu and everything I need for a straight swap for under 4000.00 installed give or take 500.00 ,plus my intentions are to store my car more than to drive it,its going to be my weekend baby.
