so maybe u read my post, my head got pretty destroyed... and so i wanna rebuild the engine. i got a good deal for the whole 325e engine for like 150$ and i can geat a new 325i head for like 50$ with just a few parts missing... so after i do a new valve job and replace the rings on the E bottom pistons, etc, would there be any problem putting the whole e bottom and i head back into my 325iC? i mean what would need to be chhanged or would it be pretty straightforward swap? so i could use all the accessories i have (starter, ac, alternator, etc) from my 325i engine... and i guess its been mentioned before, but what would be the advantages/disadvantages of having a 2.7 engine like this? thx

im pretty sure you have to use the super eta pistons also, you might want to check into it but im pretty sure you cant use the "e" pistons with the "i" head cause they'll hit, but the "e" block should bolt right up to your frame, but if i were you i would look for a super eta block not an "e" one, cause they are already pretty much everything you need for the "i" head to work
i can get the whole engine and the i head from a junk yard in central california, my friend buys a lot of stuff from them so they dont mind dropping the price to whatever he says, pretty much...
hmm i seee, so i can use the SUPER ETA block and "i" head and everything would be fine then? hmm seems pretty cool, though need to fond the super eta block now... i though that people put "i" heads on their e blocks so that they get a stronger engine, maybe i am wrong...
yes your theory is correct, but i dont think you can use the "e" pistons, the super eta engine is basically an "e" block with an "i" head, not exactly the same but pretty close, and those pistons will work with the "i" head instead of spending an ass load on custom pistons
