engine stuff

hey guys i have an 86 325 with the standard m20 engine and it has a little over 200,000 miles on it. it runs great with the exception of in the mornings when it is cold it sometimes likes to almost bog out and stall, but it corrects itself. i want to look into getting some upgrades i just dont want to go very far. does anyone know what i can do to help my engine get a little bit of extra power and torque without huge spendings? i heard about taking the head off of a 325i would boost it up quite a bit, also in the future i want to change my injectors, but does anyone know what else i can do without having to pull the engine and spend tons of money? i appreciate any help i can get

You may want to pull of the ICV and clean it out with some brake cleaner...that may help the idle

the head off of the 325i will not help you at all, it will put your compression around 7.9:1 if i remember correctly. and you will still have the super soft piston rings so you still wont really be able to rev it out any more than 5500rpms without the possibility of major damage...

A chip on a Eta makes 22hp and 25tq, no joke, do that first,
