Engine misfires on 88 325ix , whats wrong

Ok here is a deal, i was down town tonight when some kid comes to me and asked me do i have AWD (ix) , i told him my is just "i" which is RWD , he told me there is some kid that have 88 325ix for sale cheap , its in good shape except engine misfires , and that kid think he have bent intake velve because engine misfires or intake
I was thinkin meybe timing belt jump tooth because everybody have those kinda problemson high milage 325s that timing belts are changed long time ago

What do you guys think what could be , how hard is to bent valve

BTW i will visit this guy and chech out this ix and meybe buy if car don't have bent valve

It could be any number of things. could be a leaky plug wire or something like that too. Either way, if you can pick it up cheap, and it has a nice body/interior, go for it!
