I drive about 35 miles to work every day. It's mostly Highway driving and I usually just set the cruise controll for like 70 to 75 mph. The last couple days when I get about 20 miles down the road the check engine light starts blinking on and off? As soon as I get below 60 it goes away. used I just got her back from getting a new transmission..could he have not put a sensor in correctly maybe. My oil and coolant levels are fine. I gotta get that timing belt changed though. I don't know when it was last done.
Thanks for any ideas..

The O2 sensor is probably going bad. If you don't know when it was last replaced replace it with a good BOSCH one. I'll warn you now though the BOSCH O2 sensors are $90-$110 but they only need to be replaced every 80,000-100,000 miles.

if your computer has self diagnostics do that before you buy the o2 sensor could be somthing simple just trigering the egnine light.

90% of the time with the older DME's the trouble code will not be in the DME unless the Check Engine light is on all the time. Besides if he doesn't know the last time the O2 was replaced it should be replaced.
