nope ..alternator replaced. I'm sure it's a fuse or a wire that came loose. I was hoping you guys could tell me what color wire is the power wire for the stereo? Does anyone have a diagram for the fuse box? Mine doesn't have what anything is listed on it.

thier is no alternator problem...lol Whoever put my radio in did a half ass job and a wire came loose. Just need to know what color wire provides the power to the stereo.

rev counter ,mpg gauge ,interior lights ,cig lighter,glove box,on board comp , clock are all on the same fuse if this helps on my 325i 1988 the fuse is a 7.5 on No 21 fuse

BELIEVE it or not theres at least 2 wires that probide power to the stereo.
!. red useally powers the swithced on (with keys turned one click)
2. yellow useally powers the constant on. (for the clock and settings)
3 than Blue is for the power antennea or amplifier to turn on
