electrical issue (fog light)

ok put some new fogs in cause i ran the other two into a curb on a steep incline while parked and was tryingt to back out. missed the clutch and killed the fogs. haha

so I get some new ones set them up hook up the "pig tails" to them and hook them to the harness.

problem is fog light reference light in the instrument cluster no longer comes on when the switch is activated. the right passenger side fog light comes on and the left does not.

have checked the fuses, the bulb, the harness, the pig tails....nothing.
when i change one fog to the other side the right still works but not the driver side. so both lights are fine.
im wondering if its a relay or the switch???

if it is the relay how can u explain the "secondary light through the harness to come on but not the "primary"
I know something is wrong cause even after i hit the lights they still worked, i took them out to replace for cosmetic purposes. BUT NOW ONE LIGHT does not come ON

its frustrating. haha any ideas???

if its the switch then why does only one light come on and the reference light not come on?

i believe this is the relay part number, and its actually been superseded with another part number, its hard to find 15-20 dollars for a relay!!!

I just revived the fog lights in a 90 325iC. That included new lamps, and a new fog light relay. Fuse 29 (7.5A) covers the left side and the fog light indicator, while fuse 30 (also 7.5A) is for the right side.

No miracles promised, but I had your exact symptoms, and it turned out to be a blown fuse 29.
