Electrical Fan - BMW Forum

Hello,

For my rally project (E30,325i, 1985) I am installing an Electrical fan instead of the standard visco (?) fan for the radiator.

OF course there is already the electrical temperature sensor which goes to the computer, but does anybody know if there is just a on/off signal somewhere in the car when it reaches 90 degrees . Just a signal I can use with some relais to switch on and off my fan? I Can use this than without having to install myself a thermostat and I will put it in parrallel to my dashboard switch.

i just ran a universal adjustable thermo switch in mine so i could set it to whatever temp i wanted

you can pick them up at just about any auto parts store....

Edit: go to summitracing.com and search for "fan switch" and you will have like 7 pages of options
