| E36 M3 Engine Swap Talk
I want to track down a E36 M3 engine for my E30. Just wondering if anyone has done it or seen it done. Do the engine mounts have to be fabricated for the swap -OR- does the engine bolt right to the E30 chassis? Will the M3 engine bolt up to the transmission in my 325es -OR- do I need the transmission that BMW pairs with the E36 M3 engine? Wiring harness is an obvious swap but does anyone know how difficult the wiring harness swap is? This idea to get an M3 engine in the E30 is awesome, but is it more trouble than it's worth?
