That's a sweet car. I would look out for another 325is tho. That little 4 cyl. stands no match for our amazingly built in-line sixes. Get another 325is!!!!!

i know, i love the M20, but i mean, its still a nice car, and i have no bjections to the DOHC M42.. you know, the M42 was actually designed to be the high performance engine over the M20, the M20 was supposed to be more Economical.
But yes, id definetly prefer the 325iS, but id have no problem with the 318iS...
but ofcourse nothing is final, and i doubt i would actually get it, but there is nothing wrong with dreaming..
mmm...have the car and IE stage 3 springs, and 25/22 sways...mmm drool

4 grand! good lord, id sell you my 325is for that much if i wasnt puttin bilstein sports on it tomorrow, and without the wheels, but 5 grand you could have it all, i would never pay that much for a 318, you can find a 325 for cheaper, and no the m42 was not made to be more high performance than the m20 when they know it could never be, why do you think they made a 4 cylinder, to have a more economical e30
the reason the M42 was supposed to be more high performance is cuz it was DOHC..as so some BMW Reps have told me along with my dad. I know it doesn tput out more power, and i still dont understand it myself, but i hear that it was supposed to be the track car or whatnot.

that all depends on who is driving. the 318 handles better and the 325 gets up and goes quicker. like i just said it will all depend on who is driving and if they are any good at driving.

of course it depends on who is driving. im sorry but the 318 doesnt handle better, they handle the same, and the 325 has more power and is faster end of story, especially if both cars are set up for racing, the 325 would be 100 times faster around the track with equally talented drivers
im still trying to talkmy dad into letting me get another E30, but he keeps saying: "Dan, we didnt go through all this trouble to lease you a car so you can get an E30", which is lame because he made me get a leased car....but im not gonna get an E30 till i look around more for a M20iS...
but no worries, ima try and get an E30 as soon as possible

Doesn't the 318 have a more balanced weight distribution and lighter. I keep hearing different stories that the 318 handles better and it was meant to be a track car and now its said they handle the same. Obviously the 325 has to weigh a little more, so what is the truth?!?!
