Keep your stock grill and use the high beam spaces for intake filters if you're going to get roid of the lights. At least they'd still be functional. Speaking of which, how do two bulbs cover high and lowbeam lights?

the original e21's had only 2 headlights. its not a conversion, just how they came. the 4 cylinder models had 2 headlights, the 6's had 4. it was a way to tell your "upscale" 3 from the "cheap bastard" 3.

it may apply to some e30's as well, but I think by the time they came out with the e30 the 4 headlight thing was the bmw trademark by then and they started putting it on all their models.

either way, some more random bmw trivia for you.

Thats amazingly good for a photoshop job. I think thats for real. But I agree, why would you want to do that? Makes the car look a lot wider, perhaps, but very strange nonetheless.

I don't mean to threadjack, but on the topic of E30 headlights, is there an angel eye setup for these cars? It looks really sweet on the E36, and I'm interested.

Changed the car's name, now it's - Roxanne -1985 325e

Even if what you say doesn't apply to this particular car it is still some good BMW info. Learn something new every day around here. Thanks

got bored and looked at this thread again. that IS a photoshop job. There are tell-tell signs of photo cloning.

On the grille there is repetition of screws that are in the wrong place, and the color blending is smeared at the junction of where he put the grill over the headlights.

Its good, it fooled me the first time I looked at it on my crappy LCD.

I think it looks kinda funny, not ugly, but funny lookin. Infact i think it looks ok, but I would rather take the old headlights out of the stock grill and use the gaps for air intakes.
