Hey all, I am getting ready to install a new door handle (opener) to the inside driver's door. Is there any advice that you can give me? I understand I'll have to remove the inner door panel as well. Do any of you have some tips on the best way to remove the panel and reattach it after install the piece? I would really appreciate any advice or comments.

its very simple. two screws under the armrest, one and the top of the armrest. unscrew the door lock cover, and remove the trim ring around the inner handle. then pry the panel out around the bottom and side edges, there are a lot of clips holding it in place. then pull straight up to remove.

you will now see two phillips head screws on either side of the handle, remove these. now turn the handle around so you can see how it needs to be moved to free it from the rod going to the latch assembly.

its very easy and should only take 10 minutes to remove and replace everything.

I appreciate your help. That's what I was after. one more quick one....do I need to get a door panel removal tool, or will a common screwdriver do the trick for the clips?

Thanks again!

after the screws are removed, your hands are all you'll need. using a screwdriver will damage the paint, and possilbly the panel.
