E30 m50 helps - BMW Forum

Ok I know everyones tired of hearing about these. Sorry. I've got a 90 325i. Just dropped in for an m50 out of a 92 325. Got everything hooked up. No start. When pulled off the fuel lines and turned the block over no fuel. Pump doesn't register. I pulled off the the crank sensor. Its still good. Dme and fp relay is working correctly. When I try and jump terminals at the fp relay still no fuel. The fuel pump worked 3 days ago with the m20 in it. No blown fuses. Im just confused at this point.

Sounds like their is no power getting to the fuel pump. Is everything hooked up okay?

Funny you should mention that. I checked the continuity of the 2 black wires on the passenger of the m50 harness. Well long story short the big one is a ground and the smaller one Is constant power on the power post. Friggin fired up after 3 turns

Boy, Vader...you can say that again! Every problem I've run into with my 325 has been me over-thinking the situation. I'm grateful for a lot of things, mostly the BMW tech's and my Bentley manual.
