Greetings,

I've decided to enter the BMW world with an E30 very soon. I coose that particular version of the 3 series because I like it's light weight and less sophisticated nature. I'm pretty much set on a 325is though finding a good lower mile car seems very hard to do. One thing I would like to see happen when I finally find the right one is to give it the M3 treatment as far as looks go. I've not been able to find any complete body kits that will allow me to pull this off. Does anyone know of such a kit?

From studying pictures of real M3 cars, I notice little things like the different surround on the back windows that would look hard to pull off with aftermarket parts. Am I dreaming or is this possible? If so does it cost more than it is worth to do?

I kind of figured that. I love the M3, but the upkeep cost scares me off. What was the stink about before that makes your post so discouraging?

Welcome DBA-ONE,

alot of people come here with the idea of making there e30 look like an m3, and are slow to accept that it just isnt an option without a huge budget; however, there is nothing wrong with your post since it seemed like you were just inquiring. there are 2 factory m-technik body kits available to standard e30s with very nice subtle M styling, which you might want to look into instead.

Thanks man. I figured it was wishful thinking, but wanted to be sure. While I love the E30 for it's simplicity, I'm having a terrible time finding a good one. The low mile cars I've seen are automatics, which we all know is not something to choose for a sporty car. I may start looking in to the next gen 3. I don't know for sure. I'm just going to keep reading and asking questions before buying.
