e30 hood for sale? - BMW Forum

So, I replaced my e30's stock hood for a carbon fiber hood. I've since sold the car and now I'm left with this old, rust free, fairly decent condition except a grapefruit size dent, stock hood.

Are people even in the market for stock hoods?

Should I sell it or junk it?

ps. the hood is 1.5 hours away or I would post pics.

You probably won't be able to get much -- if anything at all -- for the hood. However, there are always people that need stock body panels, mostly for repairs after wrecks. I would put it on craigslist for a while if you are not in a big rush to get it off your hands. Otherwise, junking it may be the way to go. Just my two cents worth.

That is what the thread is for. To gauge whether he should even try to sell the hood.

This is not the first time I tell you this: I know you have a lot of knowledge, but far too often you are a complete jerk. I know other forums are big on flaming and belittling members for no reason at all, but werkz is not the place for that.

I actually got 2 calls today from people who ARE interested in it...with the dent.

I don't know, all I know I can get you 2 hoods for an E-30 without dents right now....so I don't know...sorry

Witeshark is a great contributor to this site and could have taken action against silversled a long time ago, but has been very patient. I decided it has been enough. Given how sled has treated the members as well as the mods and admins over the last few months, I've applied a 7-day ban.

Good call. Sled contributes a lot but has too many personal attacks.

I've had several debates with him regarding my car and he's given me tons of grief. All I know is I was right and he was wrong and that was good enough for me.

In regards to the topic there should be a market for the hood even with the dent. It's not like it can't be fixed.
