I have a 91 E30 and am not happy with how it handles. Has anyone gone to bilsteen shocks? If so, sport or touring? How did it turn out? Any other suggestions
to improve things with the suspension?

No their not stock anymore. They were replaced before I got the car. Just not
stiff enough around the corners for me. Should you do the springs at the same
time as the struts and shocks or wait and see how it improves with out first?

if u use the bilistien sport shocks, u need to have lowering springs.

you dont necessarily need lowering springs.
and bilstein shocks are NOT the best shocks for e30, if your into the whole autox scene and like to mess around with the spring rates, 5-way koni adjustables are far superior than bilstein
I am VERY pleased with the way it handles now. In fact I think it outperforms my old E36 with its Dinan suspension. I also swapped out the stock wheels for some 15" Borbets with Yokohama AVS ES100's 205/55VR15's and the handling is just awesome now.
Thanks for the advice guys. I'm going to try the bilsteins first and then the
spings if it isn't notibly different. Wish I could afford to do it all at once. I'm new to
this site but I've been checking it out. There are some sweet cars out there.
I just fell in love with mine all over again.
