'E30 Convertible Rear Window Repair from emiata.com

Has anyone ordered and installed the window from this individual? My window is torn and I can't find a single shop that will do anything else but replace the entire top, which is in very good condition still.

bilge60 is on a distinguished road
I just bought one for my 89 325i from them and installed myself, took a couple of tries to center perfectly but well worth the money as my top is like new,and the window seems very well made

I ordered and installed one years ago when I first got the 325ic from my father. Like the PP, I had to take it out and put it back in a couple times...like timing belts, one tooth off and it just doesn't work. It buckled and warped. But once I got it in just right, it looked great.

My only problem was the new window is apparently is apparently not made to exactly the same dimensions as the old, and the canvas flap that's supposed to tuck in under the seal of the window doesn't reach that seal in some places, notably the corners. It's irritating, but I've learned to live with it.

Well I did the deed last weekend. Worked out ok. Window isn't completely taut so there is a little 'wave' in the plastic but much better than the huge rip.

Haven't stitched it in yet - just the application of glue on the outside and inside.

Now if I could fix the $%^! idle problems...

If there's a wave or warp in the window, you might be a tooth off. It was worth it to me to fix it...three times, I think.
