I have an e30 that I want to make into a full time track car to race in SCCA and BMWCCA club events, but I have no idea where to start. I am in the Indianaplis area and am looking for tips on suspension components, wheels, tires, etc. Just wondering the best avenue to take so that I can get my butt out on the track pronto!
Welcome e30racer! you should first join the BMWCCA or SCCA and attend the local driving events and track days, i'm sure you would find someone in that group with the experience to show you step by step how to do it. It would also help to find a local bmw or german car specialist that builds and sponsors club race cars to get all the info, tips, and tricks needed to start out and become competitive.
