e30 braker panel ac problem

my e30 ac used to work fine until the other day it lost all power to the switches on the center dash that control the fan and ac clutch , ithink....
so after looking at the fuse box found the #20 fuse had previously burned and was jumped with an external fuse to it,30a... i messed with the connection and also resetted the relays and got it to work again BUT just recently lost power again.... the problem is that i am tracing somebody elses repair and am wondering if i should be looking at other things to just fix it for good, when the thing works it works fine.....pleaze help

Would you consider going to a breaker for an OEM fuse box and starting from scratch?

I had the same problem, except my window fuse was jumped from the defroster, i had no power to the windows without it. i replaced my fuse box and fixed the problem. i would say replace it before you burn out other circuits and mess up other things.
