E30 angel eyes
Hi, i have a 1989 325i and was wondering about angel eyes.
1. Should i buy the fully assembled headlight sets or just the rings?
2. if i bought just the rings, what else would i need for instalation?
3. how are they usually set up? As different lights with a different activation, or is it integrated into the headlights. (im not really asking if possible, im just asking what the majority of the angel eyes lovers have it configured. I read on here that someone just ran a line to the interior and had a switch for them, that is ideally how i want it, but would this be moderately easy?
I'm not sure. But I am interested. Call it rice, whatever. I think it looks mean as hell. I was thinking that when I do my H1/H4 upgrade, since I'll have buckets for the bulbs instead of sealed beams, I might be able to put some in there, (like doing the ship in the bottle, you know?) ... but I have no idea exactly how to go about it. I like the kit that 97alpinem3 did, he did it in my garage, I just wasn't there. Maybe I'll just buy the same trash he did.

There are some H4s on ebay with halos built in with a clear lense, but they suck really bad. The halo's are cool, but you cant see a damn thing at night. They look cool though, take a look at my cardomain.

On my celica, I bought new lights, with a built in city light, I rigged it up to go on when my parking lights are on, but my headlights aren't. It was pretty simple to setup.

naw, wouldnt call it rice. i think they are even on the e90s but im not sure.
(or at least look like it from what ive seen, or something very similar)
i wanted to just run a wire to the dash area for activation, like a seperate light, does anyone have that set up? the rings themselves (not the whole housing and the whole shebang)are really cheap on ebay, not sure of the quality, but ive had about a 95% success rate with ebay, and thats saved me, im sure at least a thousand dollars, im sure i can afford to invest and risk $50

parking lights are a mother to get to.. so were just gonna hook it up to a rocker switch and put it somewhere in the dash... i still dont know if i HAVE to put them inside the glass or if i can ghetto this one out..
