| I have an 89 325i which I recently bought from a co-worker. I knew it was in an accident where the owner skidded on ice and hit a parked car with the right rear quarter.
I already spent $600 (cdn) on having the rear trailing arm replaced, but the alignment is still off. I used a string to line up the front and rear face of the tires and found that the left rear has approx 1/16" toe-out and the right rear has approx 1/4" toe-in. The camber is off as well.
I have an appointment tomorrow to have the rear suspension tweeked (re-shaped?) so the the alignment is within spec. The suspension shop ower has been operating since 1970 and has worked on E30's and seem to know what he is doing.
Are there anythings to ask or look out for before getting this done? ............ thanks |
