Don't know why your stressing... ITS A BELT! Like, beside getting the oil changed, its one of the most benign operations a car must endure. You make it sound like your mechanic is gonna try to pull on over on u.... its a belt. Goto a mechanic and have him put a new one on in 5 minutes. Its not a huge deal, don't make it one... have you A/c Belt, Fan belt and power steering belts all replaced at the same time. it will cost....
*gasp*

no more then 100 bucks. I got mine done at the local good year. You can do it yourself, yes, but it sounds like you must not have very much experiance with cars :-P. and when I tried to do the shop provided the wrong belts, online u have to pay shipping and wait for them, just goto a shop. the belts should be no more then 20$ each, and labor will prolly be like 20$, in my case, 20$ is worth the hassle.
uhhh...are you serious? hah ok ya buy a Bently BMW Manual and get crackin....it takes me 15.23 mins exactly to change all the belts haha my friend timed me...anywho...ya
or, just get a good year to do it for u. Its got a warentee and all that neat stuff then. I understand working on ur own car is fun, but in ur case its worth the money.
ya i can see that but i have been in the position of working full time and going to school full time but i still found it better to save my money and change $15 worth of belts myself instead of paying $90 or more to pay someone else to...thats all just trying to look out for ya
lol, we sort are in the same positon, but with different veiws, I work and goto school, and in that I find I don't have time to work on my car so I pay for someone to do it :P
hah i liked to eat and smoke a lot of English cigarettes when i was in college haha and drink lots of beer...so money was VERY important...good thing it all paid off haha here i am at work at intel with my bachelors trying to decide how long i should sleep at work tonight...LoL
Ha! well I"m going to school for information science, so maybe I"ll see ya there one day. and yea, I dont smoke or drink, so thats how I pay for my german husband.
haha niiice...well i dont drink much anymore and i dont smoke much anymore so hah it works out in the end good luck on your major...sounds like a fun one...what career you aiming for?
