Does abyone know if the crank shaft position sensor is the same on all sizes of engines?

It's alright folks i got one they are the same.
But the bitch is still not starting.
I think it's starved of fuel.
Anyone know anything about that?

try jumpping the fuel pump relay. It will let you know if your pump is delivering fuel or not. I had the same problem a while ago... changed the relay and all is good. If your main relay is dead it will do the same thing. Also check if there is spark by unscrewing one of the spark plugs and placing it on the valve cover (plugged in to it's wire of coarse, and make sure not to hold it because you will get a shock) and have someone crank the motor. If you see a strong bleu/white spark then it's a good sign that you don't have a problem with your coil or ignition system. Starting problems on these cars to me are like ghead, They drive me nuts, the two bemmers that I have whent throw them. good luck!

I've found the problem. There was a dodgy connection on the fuel pump. This is rectified and the bad boy runs now.
