Hey can anyone help me here... Two nights ago i went and put a K&N filter on my car... It had an adapter on it replacing the factory airbox... I unhooked the sensor in the process....After installation i started up the car and it instantly stalled out... The second time it started, but had a rough idle and would sometimes stall out or when u stepped on the gas it would have a really bad coughing, hesitation... Anyone know whats up.. Is the AFM gone and needs a replacement or do i just need to reset my computer... Everything was replaced back to stock and was still doing the same exact thing... SOMEONE HELP ME>>>

If it is an e30, it should have a AFM, Air Flow Meter.

MAF, Mass Air Flow Meter, is on the later models.

I believe there is something still undone.

The computer has no memory.

go back and check all the connections again.

The OBD I system on your car can be reset but it has no memory and as such every time you start the car all the settings start out fresh.

Later,
