E30 325i head gasket replacement

hi ppl. my car blew its head gasket and i want to replace it. can u guys give me some advise on what to check when replacing the gasket and what to do. also does anyone know where i can get info on how to remove the cyl. head as i dont want to break anything else. thanks

Water pump. Check piston rings if you're using oil. Timing belt (since you're there). All other belts.

disconnect your exhust, oxygen sensor, loosen the belts on the front so you can remove them disconnect any wires going to the head and or hoses. by the way their is a sneaky little coolant hose on the back side of the head near the fire wall once you get the timing belt cover off the frount of the engine loosen the tensioner and remove the belt AND REPLACE IT ALONG WITH THE BELT TENSIONER AND SPRING, remove your valve cover and remove the head bolts in the opposite order that you would tork them so you dont worp the head. i have left some things out other people can fill in the blanks that just the most obvious stuff.

Replace the tensioner though!
