Does anyone have information regarding troubleshooting the oil pump. I recently repainted the oil pan and replaced the gasket. Excessive mechanical noise when starting the engine. I'm thinking no oil is being fed through the pump. I might have not tightened the bolts good enough or possibly something else I have overlooked. (spent the entire day getting those bolts on the oil pump and pan)

maybe the syphon tube that sticks out of the bottom didnt line up right, or it fell out of the hole messing up the suction and starving the engine of oil. its a pain tn the @$$ to put it in easily, so take your time and make sure its in there properly.

hope u find the problem

Mark
