roy323i is an unknown quantity at this point
Hi everyone, this is my first post so i thought i would say hello.

I have a 1980 323i and recently i have been having stalling problems.
It starts fine and runs fine but occasionally as i brake it will just stall.
It doesnt splutter then stop but it stalls as if i have turned the car off,it just cuts out.
It started with my stereo cutting out for a second or two everytime i brake but now the car just cuts out. When i try to start it again it doesnt work.It turns over but just wont start.
After about 10mins or so it starts fine..im guessing its something electrical but cant understand why it doesnt start straight away.
Anyway if anyone could give me any ideas or help it would be appreciated.
thanks...

i think it might be a fuel problem. or the fact if your not first owner it could have aftermarket alarm my car when i first got it i stalled it during shifting and it would cut on right away either it happend to be the aftermarket alarm but check your fuel pump and injectors and fuel lines.

Thanks mate,
Took it to an auto electrician and found that it was my aftermarket immobilizer.
All fixed now!
