| E 30 / 91 BMW 318I engine replacment
My 91 318I engine has 245,520 miles on it, the head gasket has blown and instead of doing a valve job/ head gasket replacment I am considering an engine replacment option, mainly due to the high miles it has. How hard of a swap out is this to preform in a home garage, any special tools required to complete the engine swap, can 1 person working alone preform this swap ect,ect. Last but not least this company:Bavarian Auto Recyling sells the 1.8 L M42 Long block with a 6 month warr for $1250. Have any of you installed parts from this vender onto your cars before and were you happy with both the quality of the parts and the service they provided to you.
