Door Lock Problems

Hey all. I have a 98' 328i and the reare passenger door does not open. I use the remote to unlock the doors and it still stays locked. I cannot open it from the inside nore the outside. I manually unluck it and the lock handle pulls back down acting like it is locked. Again with no luck on opening in the door. I took the door apart from the inside and have the trim panel off, but again I cannot find how to get the door open so I can take the mechanism out. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks alot, this is a real pain.

I'm going to lock this thread since I see you have posted an identical one in the e36 section where it belongs. i would suggest getting a bently manual and start trouble shooting from there if no one here can give you a definate answer.
