I have an 87 325e but I would like plastic bumpers like some of the i models. I was wondering if you guys knew if they would fit right in or modifications would be necessary

You mean the European bumpers? They'll fit the front, but the rear will require a good bit of modification. There is also a smaller version of your aluminum bumpers available in the US that will be easier to find and fit better, although it's possible to just tuck yours in if size is your concern.

Get the later style bumper shocks too,and you will have tomodify a couple of things.About the rear:If you can than get the later style lower rear valance. You will need to cut it off the parts car and weld it on yours, but without it will look a little ugly.

Why does everyone find the older bumpers ugly? The less plastic the better.

Because they stick out so much.If it was the european chrome bumper,I wouldnt complain.I aggree about that the chrome ones are much stronger.
