So i took my car out to the track for the first time ever last night. Pretty disapointed in the end. The best run i got was a 16.5 at 85 MPH. I was hopinf to at least break into the 15s. Aside from the knock off chip that i got the car is pretty much stock, aside from the little tricks that we did when we rebuilt the motor last summer. We are pretty good at finding power from small power engines, so that makes this even worse. It's moslty in the bottom end that i lose. I took two 5.0 stangs and beat them up to about the 1/8 marker, then lose everything. With all the torque, it feels like im still picking up fast, but i'm not.
Maybe everyone was right when they say that you can't get much power out of an eta. I'm thinking of selling mine, to get an i, but i also wonder if i upgrade the cam, get a set of headers, ingition and other performance parts, that won't involve boring out the engine, that if it will be worth it.
We're going back out, in a couple weeks and gonna finich the AC removal, and try and save weight where ever we can, to see if that helps. Is there any places that i can alter to save weight.
If anyone knows of a cheap 325i for sale in the western canada region, let me know, and my car just may be for sale.

My mostly stock "i" runs mid 15's, all I have done is a home made CAI and took off the stock muffler and put a SpinTech on it. Eventually I'll get some wider and stickier tires, 4.10 gears, a chip and stronger clutch. With those mods I should be close to the 14's.

It is a 1991 325IX all wheel drive. I bought the car in December of 2002 for 8,700 dollars, I replaced the suspension with LEDA coilovers, which set me back 1700 dollars. I put it in storage for the rest of that winter and all of this winter. I got a checkup on the car in 2003 and some parts needed to be replaced so I got that taken car of and the bill for the check up was in the ballpark of 2200 dollars. Now every thing is excellent on the car. I never raced the car. I am the 2nd owner. The owner before me was a woman in her 50's that had it checked up by OARS BMW automotive, a well known BMW specialist. I had the interior restained and now it looks brand new. The car can be lowered to the point where the is no wheel gap or to where it is raised higher than stock. I put on the suspension last November, so there is about 500 miles on the suspension. Here are the rest of the specs: -----Interior----- Heated leather seats Alpine CDA-7894 MP3/CD player Ice cold A/C Super Hot Heating Power windows Power Mirrors -----Exterior----- 15” Borbet Type H wheels Painted kidney grills Sunroof Piaa fog lights H4 headlights Power antenna Euro Plate with license plate numbers -----Engine----- 92,xxx miles Inline 6 Cylinder Cam and valve job at 86k miles Synthetic Oil changed every 3k miles BMP Intake -----Chassis----- All wheel drive LEDA Coilovers Reinforced Rear shock towers New bushings New wheels bearings New control arms -----Transmission: Automatic----- -----Brakes: EVERYTHING REPLACED at 85k miles----- ---------Price: $6,800 USD…OBO-----------
