| I have a 1989 325ix and here is the problem. Hope you got some time and your thinking cap on!
Lately it has been hard starting, mostly when the engine is cold but ocasionally when the engine is warm. Now it's about -20 to -28 Celcius (about -30F) and it woun't start under it's oven power. I thought it was the starter but when I boost it with another vehicle or charge apck, it starts like it's brand new. so then I thought it was the battery. But today I put two batteries in series and was pushing nearly 20V. So currently, it won't start but I can hear the starter pin moving. So I called the local parts place (My LBMWD (local BMW Dealer) wasn't open) and he said that it could be the plug wire coli or the wores them self.
So what am I trying to find out? I just want to know if anyone else has had this problem or if you think there is something else that I should be looking into. I've fixed almost everthing my self in the past and I REALLY need to save the shop charge if I take it to my LBMWD. Thanks for your help in advance!
