I ordered a new key for my e30 from the dealer. Ebay prices for a key were anywhere from 10 to 15 bucks and thats not counting shiping and getting it cut. The dealer price when I picked it up ...$13.97! While they were retrieving the key I was looking in thier case of all little jackets and hats and stuff and I saw the keychain my wife wanted. It's just a chrome 3 with a little bmw roundel. I see them on ebay for 20.99 plus like 7.00 shipping. The dealer wanted 19.99! Wtf is going on ebay..seriously I've noticed alot of things lately that not only I wouldn't consider cheap enough to waste my time with but down right more expensive. Be carefull what your buying ....You might just be better getting it from bavarian who you know is a reputable dealer.
yes that is weird! i also called the stealer and they said a spare key was 5.40. while on ebay they are 10.95 plus shipping. and the lighted one on ebay is 34.95 but at the stealer it is 19.95

Damn! I didn't know their was a lighted one..I wish they would have offered it. If you buy a key on ebay where do you get it cut? Every one seems to be using those automatic key cuting machines now. Are thier any old fashioned key cutters left?
I'm not saying it can't ..but your average place isn't gonna have the cartridge to put into a key maching for an e30.
